Q de bouteilles creates glasses and vases from old wine bottles

A perfect way to reuse and reinvent products from existing elements

In January 2016 they collect bottles from partner restaurateurs. The first bottles are cut with a string, methylated spirits and ice water to create a thermal shock: the technique is laborious but the idea is promising and their friends ask for more.

Quickly, and following an ever increasing demand, Q de bouteilles is born. The founders travel through the Glass Valley*, establish partnerships with artisans and improve their cold glass working techniques.

At the beginning of 2017, they created their own production workshop in Cucq, in the Pas de Calais (62).

Since then, a dozen craftsmen have joined the team and use their know-how every day to sort, cut, trim and shape the bottles they collect or that reach them, following five artisanal stages of transformation.

Each glass, candle and vase undergoes a rigorous quality control to ensure that all Q de bouteilles pieces are the result of impeccable work, guaranteeing them a place on the most beautiful tables.
